Improve interface for notifying users when a profile field is already being edited
Generally I like the cue. I do see Matt's Point that it is possible a use will miss the cue if they are editing something near the top and then scroll down to click on something near the bottom. I suppose you could move them back up the page, but I'm hesitant to do that and if we did do it the movement should animate and not just jump them up.
Another idea is to add a message next to the OK and Cancel buttons that explains they need to click one before moving on to edit another section. See OK-Cancel-Message.png
Actually, I'd already addressed this when you left your message, but hadn't pushed the changes to cdev. I opted for a scroll-to. Please check it out and let me know whether you think it's sufficient.

Yes, the combination of the sliding back and the red pulse works for me. I think it should work for people in general.
This is the kind of interaction I'd like to have some other people who are not so close to the UI as us test.
I think I'm going to create a document on Commons and we can talk at Friday meeting about getting a group of 5-6 testers and giving them some tasks.
Marking this as Resolved.
