VHOST Transfers for two domains
We are moving towards liveness for two journal sites and would like to point domains at the Commons.
Here are the new domains and the existing commons sites:
jadtjournal.org -> jadt.commons.gc.cuny.edu
europeanstages.org -> europeanstages.commons.gc.cuny.edu
I have pointed those domains to 126.96.36.199 as we have in the past with preludenyc.org and thesegalcenter.org
Should I do anything else?
- Category name set to Domain Mapping
- Status changed from New to Assigned
- Assignee set to Matt Gold
- Target version set to Not tracked
Matt, can you place the requests please
request placed -- I will let you know what I hear.
- Assignee changed from Matt Gold to Boone Gorges
Okay -- IT reports that these are done. Please test and let me know if they are working as expected. thanks.
- Assignee changed from Boone Gorges to Matt Gold
Matt, neither of these appear to be working. When I attempt to map the domains and then visit them, I get a 403 Forbidden error. Could you check back with IT to make sure that (a) the vhosts are correctly configured and (b) the Apache config has been reloaded? Thanks.
Okay -- checking back in . . ..
Not to nag, just to confirm what Boone is saying, the domains are taking me to the site home page, but once I start going to internal pages it reverts to jadt.commons.gc.cuny.edu or europeanstages.commons.gc.cuny.edu
Thanks -- I wrote back to IT and will report back when the URL is ready to re-test. Thanks for your patience!
From IT: "Please map these 2 domains again in wordpress. Let me know if the errors are still there."
- Status changed from Assigned to Reporter Feedback
Thanks, Matt. Kimon, it appears that both are now working. Please verify.
- Status changed from Reporter Feedback to Resolved
Just going through some older domain mapping tickets.
This appears to be resolved now.
