Description
I received a message that a group's details had been updated (attached screenshot).
The view link was not correct, This is the link that was given:

I'm assuming that by Details it means the Name, Link or Description was updated. Also I suppose the link should have been back to the homepage of the group.
While it's not urgent I can think of a couple of possibly usability modifications related to this:
1. Modify the email with more on what Detail was changed Name, description etc. It would be great if it could read something like: "The group's description has been changed to..."
2. If an email is sent out then also show something in the activity stream with the same text.

These changes seem appropriate for BP itself, so I'm going to start with BP patches. Then I'll build a plugin for CAC that will serve as a bridge until the changes are integrated into BP.

Awesome. I seem to remember that we are keeping a log somewhere of our upstream contributions to larger free software projects. If so, can you please add this or somehow tag this ticket or the BP ticket so that we can track such things? Many thanks.

Added to the Commons 1.7.x branch in https://github.com/cuny-academic-commons/cac/commit/29c944e5e74c029d5f14d718772e9d74ab960e97 and ready for testing on cdev.
A note to myself that before closing this ticket, I should open a new one in the next milestone to check to see whether our custom functionality can be removed yet. It's likely that we'll continue to need at least something for wp-better-emails-for-bp.
