Description

Just wanted to note that I am seeing a wave of blog comment spam today-- received about 6 notifications of spam comments. . No comments were published -- the WP spam comment filters caught them and flagged them for moderation, but it is possible that users may unthinkingly approve spam comments. Not sure that there is anything we can do.

cc'ing the community team in case there are inquiries. Comm team -- please keep an eye on the site activity feed and let me know whether you notice any spam comments making it through. Thanks.

I'm assuming this is linked to one of the too-frequent hiccups in Akismet coverage. Let's reopen if it recurs.
