1.7 Testing - "Reply" and Post Button

Description
Not sure if this is a bug or not, but just wanted to discuss this.
The "Reply" button seems to only appear when a file was uploaded, when a friendship is made, or someone posts a personal “Update”, or when someone creates a group, or when someone joins a group. Is that the correct? It then opens up a place where you can post your reply, and that post just seems to go to your activity stream. I am not totally clear on the purpose, but think it is designed to then show up in your others "My Commons" screens - kinda like an aside or conversation? (i.e. "Glad to see you two are friends" or "Looking forward to reading the file you uploaded.") If that is the case, maybe the wording could be a little more clear. I don't think members will be all that clear about what they are doing when they create reply posts. I wasn't at first.

"Comment" would be good. I like that.
I was also thinking that for each type of reply, we might give an example to guide user reaction/post. So, if it was a friendship - you might put the following above the textbox ("For example, 'Glad you two are are now friends.'") or a joining a group (For example: "Looking forward to collaborating with you.")
Maybe Chris and Samantha might have some thoughts on this. I think it is a cool feature, but don't want members to not understand what they are doing.

Just an update that I'm folding this "Reply"/Post quandary into this round of user testing. I'll provide a recommendation for this and issue #3577 after that's complete.
Based on the user testing, the recommendation here is to change the terminology from 'Reply' to 'Comment'.
In addition, this functionality only made sense to users in relation to posts to blogs and forums. I think we should remove the Reply/Comment option from all other types of updates.
I don't have any objection to that
