Strange profile behavior

Hiya, I'm having a very non-urgent weird situation with my profile. I went to edit my Public Portfolio page to include some new publications, and even after saving it doesn't seem to take. I also have publications listed in my Commons Profile, and I wonder if that's messing things up? But I can't see a way to delete the publications in my Commons Profile. I deleted the publications section in my Public Portfolio and now it won't come back when I try to add it.

Again, this is totally non-urgent, and could absolutely be user error. Thanks for any suggestions!

Hi Maura - I spent some time trying to debug this, but I couldn't manage to reproduce the behavior you've described with any of my test data. The "Publications" field was saving correctly - what you see on your Commons Profile is powered by the very same data as what is seen on your Public Portfolio - but the widget wasn't being properly saved in the list of portfolio fields that determines the order of widgets on your portfolio. As a result, it wasn't being displayed. For the time being, I've added it to the list manually, and it's now showing as expected.

Given that I haven't heard this from anyone else (and there's about 100 people on the Commons with a Publications field), I'm going to guess that this is some glitch having to do with some legacy data on your account. I'm going to go ahead and close this ticket on that hypothesis. But if you continue to have issues related to this, please don't hesitate to reopen. Thanks!
