Unsecured Connections Security Warning for Commons site
Added by Sarah Morgano over 9 years ago.

Description
When you arrive at the Commons through Google search, a warning about unsecured connections/vulnerability appears in the address bar (this is the case for both firefox and chrome). Is this anything we should be concerned about in terms of security or SEO?

- Target version set to 1.7.15
Thanks, Sarah. This notice is because some sites are serving non-https assets. I have some tricks in place to prevent this from happening (in most cases) on the main site, but I'll try to see if I can extend it to subsites.
What is the significance of the subject of this ticket - the "mobile optimized" stuff?
This was submitted by Jonathan Patkowski to Matt Gold, so I'm not terribly sure what Jonathan meant by the subject line.
- Subject changed from Google: websites not mobile optimized by April 21 will lose mobile search rankings to Unsecured Connections Security Warning for Commons site
Hi Boone -- please disregard that subject line -- this ticket arose when someone replied to an email with that subject line; the title here is unrelated to the content of the ticket. I've edited it accordingly
- Category name set to WordPress (misc)
- Status changed from New to Resolved
- Assignee set to Boone Gorges
I've put a number of fixes in place for this - changesets are too numerous to mention here (if anyone cares, check the changelog from 2015-03-11). Going to mark resolved, but please let me know if you find more errors like this, as they're bound to arise, especially on secondary sites.
