Description

Can you evaluate and install:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/add-category-to-pages/
or

Our 'wiki' is built on pages and we would like to categorize them.

Thanks.

It looks like we already have a plugin for this - it's called Ninja Page Categories and Tags. Have you tried it? If it doesn't work for some reason, I'm happy to add another one, but I'd prefer not to have redundant plugins if we can avoid it.

Thanks, Boone. I'm either missing something or it does not seem to work. Can you investigate? Thanks.

Hi Stephen,

Can you please give us a more detailed bug report than "it does not seem to work"? When we hear that something is not working, our first step is to try to reproduce the problem so that we can understand what is going on. Here is some advice from a site that gives some guidance on this:

To actually solve your problem, we need to be able to reproduce it. The more descriptive the instructions, the better chances are that they'll work for others screenshots go a long way in some cases use sites like imgur, snaggy or postimage. Sit down and reproduce the problem a few times, first, to make sure you understand it. If the problem is "random," enable debugging during normal use. The more time you spend isolating the problem, the quicker a developer will be able to reproduce and fix it.

In this case, it's unclear where, exactly, the problem is happening. Are you unable to find the plugin in question? Do you get an error when you try to activate it? Are you able to activate it but running into a problem when you try to adjust the settings? Does everything seem to be working on the dashboard but not showing up on the frontend of the site? Unless we know what is happening where, and how and when it is happening, it will be difficult for us to reproduce the problem.

In addition to that, we'd appreciate it if you could give us a sense of the environment in which the problem is happening. One easy way to do that is to visit http://supportdetails.com/ and to send us a PDF export of the report there.

it is activated, but I do not see a place to add categories to my pages.

Thanks. Please go to Settings > Ninja Pages and click any checkboxes for features you want to add, like "add categories to pages." Then revisit your page; you should see categories there afterwards.

If you've already taken these steps, please send us screenshots of the settings page and what you see on a WP page.

Works, so you can close. I apologize that I had to burden you with a support call. Thanks.

No problem -- we appreciate bug reports! So much better than members running into problems and not telling us. Happy page categorizing!
