I agree that 'slug' is not a good word, but neither is 'link' - it suggests to me that you can change the whole URL, which you cannot.

How about just glossing the word 'slug' at the top of the Group Slug edit page?

I think that "group link" is much more clear. Added Chris and Michael to this ticket; what do you guys think?

Group Link is clearer than Group Slug. Group URL could also work. I understand what you're saying Boon but since it's pretty clear that you can't change the whole URL once you get to the page it shouldn't cause too much confusion in the end.

As an aside for people who don't know the interface that well with tickets like this we should probably add some details:
Group Slug is currently found in the Admin area for an individual group. You can only see the Admin area it if you are an administrator for the group.

Chris - Are you talking about the report of the problem here in Redmine? As this is primarily intended as an internal communication system, I am unenthusiastic about writing extensive back stories for every ticket. If people are unsure what a ticket refers to, they should ask.

Note to self that the group slug plugin does not appear to have a language file, so I'll either have to create one, or rehardcode.

Boone, I understand. I thought we were starting to open redmine to a more public audience. I take it back, I think you're right that it's probably unneeded and people can just ask.
