Please run this check (Dashboard > Appearance > Theme Check) on every theme before checking it in to the repo. If it gives REQUIRED notices, paste them into a ticket and check with me before checking the theme in.
(Background: This is a plugin being developed by the wordpress.org team. It does a very, very good job of checking for suspicious and unsafe things in WP themes. Sometime soon, the same checks run by this plugin will be run systematically on every theme submitted to the repo, so that you can feel confident that every plugin downloaded from the repo is safe. However, many of the themes recently added to the Commons have been commercial or from the open web, and thus need to be checked manually. Thanks.)
Thanks for this. Is there anyone else besides me adding themes to the site? If so, please add them as watchers to this ticket.
