I am experiencing the same. Successfully created account. Got email but did not activate. But I never got a nudge.

I have a feeling this is linked to cron in our dev environment. I'll look into it.

Found the problem!
Outgoing emails on cdev are blocked for any address not on a whitelist (basically, members of the CUNY team group). This was causing the notification emails to be lost in the ether.
Fixed in https://github.com/cuny-academic-commons/cac/commit/219f34d0c0a5ec6f6ede947e0574faeab5011ea9
This could use a quick check by a member of the team. Thanks!

I am trying to retest, but there is an edit that stops me from using my cuny email. It says an account already exists with that email address, which is correct--that is my production commons account. I do need to register with cuny email, correct? Do you want to disable that edit?
never mind. I found the documentation on how to test with a non cuny email.
Sorry!

I tested with non-cuny code and got the nudge email, but I did not get the original activation link email.

I think the initial registration email is being blocked for the same reason. Maybe worth looking at at some point, but for the time being, we know that the nudges work. Thanks, Steve and Scott!
