Description
Thanks to Steve and the Help upgrade, I've been delving into the plugins. Some of them - such as Code Markup, last updated in 2008! - seem like they could perhaps be deleted. Do we have a system for identifying and removing old plugins? And/or telling which plugins are in use?

thanks for working on this, Marilyn. I believe we do have a way of seeing which plugins are active on various sites. It's a great idea to do a plugin review and to remove outdated/unused plugins.

Sometime this week I will run a report of plugin usage - plugin name, last updated info (if it's easy for me to fetch), and number of sites where it's used. For plugins used by only a small handful of sites - say, three or fewer - I'll try to assemble the URLs, in case the sites are test sites or otherwise defunct.

A list of plugins that are used by 3 or fewer sites (minus special-purpose plugins and others that appeared in the raw data but cannot be removed for one reason or another) are listed at the bottom of this comment.
Maybe the best place to start is the plugins that are used by no one. Can we remove the following?
- braille/braille.php
- bulk-move/bulk-move.php
- email-before-download/email-before-download.php
- ninja-page-categories-and-tags
- spam-free-wordpress/spam-free-wordpress.php
- threewp-broadcast/ThreeWP_Broadcast.php
- wp-showhide/wp-showhide.php
- wp-live-preview-links/wp-live-preview-links.php
Anyone have thoughts about the other items?

I'd like to keep Braille on the site if it isn't causing any problems, as I would like the site to be as accessible as possible.
For the others, I'd suggest that we do a look through redmine tickets to see why we added them -- some of them might have been by user request. Perhaps Tahir or Maggie could take this on

Tahir, could you take this task on? For the 8 plugins that are unused, check through the changelogs (git log for the directory is probably the place to start) to see if there's a commit message pointing to a Redmine ticket that tells the story. If you can provide some reference, it'll help us to sort out what should be removed. Thanks!
