This is an old problem that I thought was solved. Newly created private groups are supposed to have their privacy settings transferred over to their forums automatically, and they have been doing so for a while now, but for some reason it didn't work in this case. I ran the import script in bb-admin and it fixed the problem (along with any other groups lingering out there). Not worth tracing the problem because it won't be an issue in next version of BP. Also, I am sick of saying "it won't be an issue in the next version of BP".

Thanks for your quick attention to this, Boone. Take heart -- we're almost there. And just think: after we implement BP 1.1, we won't have any more problems to deal with.
