Just to note, the attached image is what Michael submitted via Zendesk. Michael, am I right that the HTML special characters appeared in the email as shown in the attached image, rather than as Redmine is rending the HTML here (simply as an ampersand)?

Ray, shouldn't these emails be going out as HTML?

One thing that I forgot to add to the ACTION_REQUIRED list was to install the onboarding email posts, so BuddyPress would send out HTML email instead of plain-text!

Heh, whoops :) Ray, is this something you could do on the production server, now, between releases? I'd feel more comfortable if you did it, as you wrote these commands.

Oops! I jumped the gun here. Let's make sure that this issue is indeed fixed.

Michael, can you try sending another test invite to see if the site name is correctly formatted?

Thanks so much for looking into this so quickly (and working late!)! I've just invited one of our staff members to our Wiki. I'll let you know if her email is in HTML or text and if it's displayed correctly.

The emails look good! They are now being sent in HTML (please see the attached email). My only thought is that it looks like there's a lot of "grey" around the text in the email. When the email is opened in Outlook, the window needs to be adjusted or maximized to read the text (please see the attached screenshot). It's obviously not a big deal at all but I wanted to mention it since I know you guys are still testing the functionality of this feature.

Thanks for the screenshot, Michael.

I don't believe we've done any testing with the email template in Outlook. It might be that the CUNY logo needs to be loaded in order for the email template to look proper in Outlook, but I'm just taking a guess. Can you try loading the logo by right-clicking on the red "X" in your screenshot?

Here's what it looks like in Thunderbird:

Going to close this one out since using HTML email fixes the formatting for the site name.

Thanks for testing, Michael!
