Description
User Pamela Jean Stemberg would like to be able to upload Word docs to her site. This isn't currently possible, but I see there's something called "Mammoth .docx converter plugin" that would allow it - https://wordpress.org/plugins/mammoth-docx-converter.
I personally would find this useful as well. Please let me know what you think and I'll make a stronger argument if needed. Thanks!
- Target version set to 1.13.4
To be clear, it's already possible to upload Word docs to the site, it's just not always trivial to convert their content to proper HTML. The plugin does the latter.
Seems OK to me - I'll slate it for the next release.
FWIW, instead of using a converter, we already have an embedder for .docx files.
Pamela could try using the Embed Any Document plugin to see if that will work for her needs:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/embed-any-document/#description
If she does indeed need a document converter, a no-plugin alternative is for Pamela to copy and paste the .docx content directly into the WordPress Visual Editor and to format her post that way.
From reading the Mammoth plugin description, it doesn't look like it's a perfect converter either, but it would probably be better than the copy-and-paste method I describe above.
Boone - No need to enable, I think, because . . .
Roy - the Embed Any Document plugin works fine, and . . .
Scott - I didn't see this in the Plugin Directory, but will add in case others have the same question
Any objections, anyone?

Sounds good to me :) Ray, thanks for jumping in.
