Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons error message - exceptions allowed?

Description
Hi everyone,
Is there a list of file types that are allowed to be uploaded and is it possible to request exceptions for certain sites? I'm trying to upload SPSS syntax (.sps) but am unable to "for security reasons."

Hi Scott - Here is our current list:

I don't think this is publicly viewable anywhere, though we could probably make it so.

I will document the file types that we accept on a Help page.

I've added .sps to the list.
This page shows that SPSS supports many different file types https://www.file-extensions.org/spss-file-extensions, but it seems risky to me to add them all proactively. Since .sps was specifically requested, I've added just that one for now, and IMO we should wait for further requests before expanding the whitelist.

.sps should be all that we need. Thank you very much Boone and Scott! :)
