I'm happy to report that I was able to export my data -- very cool. Thank you for your work on ticket 12957 https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/12957
In the course of that discussion, Ray noted that "I should also probably add a warning if you attempt to navigate away from the page during an export."
I think we should add such a warning, telling people to stay on the page until the export is finished and saying what will happen if people navigate away. Attached is a screenshot showing what I saw.

Hi Matt,
I updated the other thread to note that I've added a dialog prompt if you attempt to navigate away from the page when a data export has started processing.
Here's what the prompt looks like:
Unfortunately, the prompt message cannot be customized so it might not be 100% clear. So, I'll probably add an extra paragraph on the page explaining that you should wait until the export is fully complete. Let me know if you want me to do that or if you have any specific verbiage you want me to use.

Thanks so much, Ray. I think that adding a bit more specific language to the page would be good, and then the automatic dialogue prompt will be a reminder. thanks for your work on this.

Please click on the button below and wait for the export to finish to obtain a copy of your data. If you navigate away from this page, you will have to restart the export process again.
Let me know if the verbiage needs to be tweaked.
