UserNoise is a WP plugin built on custom post types that emulates all those feedback widgets out there:

UserNoise Pro costs $10 and adds functionality closer to UserVoice.

eg.

Might be worth considering as it hits a lot of the criteria listed above.

Wow -- this looks fantastic -- thanks, Ray! This looks very promising to me, and the cost is negligible. Seems like this could even be a useful inclusion for Commons in the Box. Boone, what are your thoughts?

Yes, this looks nice.

CBox plugins for v1 will be BP-focused. Putting more plugins under the CBox umbrella means more ongoing maintenance/monitoring for our team. But let's think about it for future iterations.

Just to note that if we do decide on bundling this for CBox later on, we could only bundle the free version of UserNoise and not the Pro version (for obvious reasons!).

I'd like to throw in a vote for Gravity Forms

I agree that UserNoise looks incredibly slick, but Gravity Forms might allow for other form uses moving forward?

Just a thought.

Thanks, Dom. No reason we can't buy both. See the following related tickets:

I just came across #2021 while reviewing the 1.5 milestone.

I haven't used GF either but have heard good stuff. Never heard of Formidable, will have to check it out. I always used contact form 7 on my sites. It always did the job so never needed to shop around.

Boone, at some point in the future I would love to know what you "don't like about the way GF is built." I've recommended it to friends but will stop if there is something wrong with the internals.

We're not using UserVoice anymore, so I'm going to close this one.
