I know y'all are aware of the timeout issue. I just encountered it for the first time when testing cloning group and site. The site that I was testing the cloning on was a dummy site with almost no content which might be different than the idea that the cloning is timing out only on large sites. I did "go back" in the process at one point and fiddle with the group settings before the site cloning. Unsure if that matters. See attached screenshot of the timeout.
