this may be related to #24795 and/or #20863

On this site https://epibios.commons.gc.cuny.edu/ the admin using The Events Calendar plugin. She has published a few events but none display in the cal or on their own, though they are in the back end. For example:

event view: https://epibios.commons.gc.cuny.edu/events/dissertation-defense-by-jenna-tipaldo/

Event editor: https://epibios.commons.gc.cuny.edu/wp-admin/post.php?post=2167&action=edit

I have reprroduced this issue by making my own event (test 2) and I see the same problem. I have tried playing around the the events cal plugin settings, adjusting site permalink settings - nothing is working to resolve the issue on my end. She has not encountered the rest API warning detailed in other tickets.
