Description

Phil Pecorino suggested during subcommittee meeting: What if there were suggestions for what a user might be interested in (groups, blogs, etc) during the signup process? Maybe on the activation page?

Thoughts for additional suggestions that could be made to new users, each with a list of 5 or so items and links to "see more":

Here are some groups you might be interested in . . .

Here are some ways you might use the Commons . . .. [list of use cases]

Here are some members from your own campus . . .

Here are some blogs you might want to check out . . . .

Some of these could be built on search of keywords, etc., but others might be helped by some sort of contextual suggestion system a la Amazon/Netflix/etc.

Might add "here are some people with similar interests" (if there are any)

Maybe also self promote and suggest everyone certain things like our meta blogs?
