Description
When I was on the invitation page within a group I administer, the search option didn't come up with any results for a person, but I could find someone through the People search. It would be great if there were an option, once logged in, that a user could go to a person's profile and invite that person to join a group or blog the same way that I could add that person as a friend.

It's an interesting idea, but definitely too big a request for 1.1.10.
Setting to 1.3 for the moment, as there will need to be UX discussion. If we can come up with a really easy and nice interface by 1.2, that would be fine with me as well.

Bump. What would this UI look like? One idea: next to the Add Friend button on a profile page, have "Invite to groups" button. When clicked, the button brings up a lightbox/popup with a list of your groups (maybe tiled with avatars, or as a list of group names with checkboxes, and a "Send Invites" button).
It would be helpful to get some feedback or mockups from the UX folks before embarking on any such project. I'm going to assign this to Chris for the moment.
