Description
Weirdly, I have just gotten two tickets on Redmine that complain about the same thing: a new directory or chair of a CUNY entity is complaining because they have found a group that seems to consist of people in their position, but the group is defunct. I would imagine this has happened before, and my understanding is that we won't remove old groups without an admin request to do so. Is that right?
though if the admins have moved on/can't be reached, and the request is legitimate, we can do this
- Target version set to Not tracked
We now have a request for removal from one of the admins:
Dear Commons Administrator,
Please remove the “CUNY Writing Center Directors” from the CUNY Commons.
I should have closed the group some time ago, and now it is causing confusion.
Thanks,
Jason Schneiderman

Matt, could you please sign off on this before I delete? There's only a single piece of content in the group (a cross-posted announcement from last year), so I don't think there's anything that would warrant a different strategy (like putting the group into some sort of hidden status), but I'd like your OK on this before an irreversible delete.
yeah, let's delete. Thank you
