Description
User Andrew Maroko (Associate Professor, Dept. of Environmental, Occupational, and Geospatial Health Sciences at the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy) asks:
"I was curious if there was a way to include arcgis web maps on the commons. I know there is a cartoDB plug in already, but as we (CUNY) have a site license for ArcGIS (made by ESRI) I was curious as to the possibility of this inclusion. There seem to be some free ones out there (e.g., https://wordpress.org/plugins/web-maps-for-wp/?_Alternatively, is there a way to embed the content without the plugin (since iframes don't work)? Sorry if this is an obvious question."
I know in the past you've suggested Jetpack - https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/8095
Should I do that now? Thanks!
Hi Marilyn -- Boone is out until next Wednesday. Can you please ask the submitter if he can wait until the end of next week for an answer? Unless, Ray, you have ideas

Hi Marilyn,
Unfortunately, Jetpack does not support ArcGIS.
I think the Embed Webmap plugin would work well for Andrew's usage. Check out the documentation and screenshots on the plugin page:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/embed-webmap/
Would that work for Andrew? If so, there are a few improvements that can be made to the plugin. I've been in contact with the author and he is open to my recommendations.
If all goes well, I'll add this plugin for our 1.12.7 release scheduled for January 23rd.
