Description
While teaching a class at the GC today, I brought up the Commons in Firefox and was using it; I wanted to show, however, what a private group looked like to a non-logged-in user. I brought up the native browser in Windows -- I think Microsoft Edge -- and the results were not great. On the BP group page, the layout was pretty messed up, with certain elements, like the left-hand group nav bar, pushed below where it should be on the page, and other parts, like the group name, appearing over images and other text. If we can do some testing on this, I think we should, as painful as it might be.

Sorry, I didn't get an email notification about this when it was posted.
Ray, could you have a look to see if there are easy wins?

My coincidental changes in #9163 might have fixed issues for Edge.
I don't see any visual problems in Edge right now. I checked a public and private group at various widths and it looks okay to me. I also tested IE 9-11 in emulated mode and things looked fine as well.
On IE 8, the page isn't mobile-responsive, but I don't think we are supporting that low!
Matt, if you are able to test again, please let me know if you see any issues and on what pages. Thanks!
- Target version changed from 1.12.9 to 1.12.10

I'm going to mark this one as resolved.
Matt, if you still see problems with the Commons theme on Microsoft Edge, please let me know.
