Description

I just noticed that Groups front pages still has the RSS feed symbol, which goes to a page of unattractive code (screenshots attached). This is similar to what I reported in https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/19891.

As of today, most browsers do not support RSS feeds by default. You would need a browser extension or dedicated RSS feed reader to use a RSS feed.

RSS feeds are useful for those that still use them. I'll leave it up to the team to decide whether we want to remove the RSS feed icon outright from the group homepage. Even if we do remove the RSS icon, savvy users should still be able to grab the feed from their RSS feed browser extension.

I'm okay with removing it

  • Category name set to Groups (misc)
  • Assignee set to Sara Cannon
  • Target version set to 2.5.0

Let's talk about this as part of the next feature release.

Flagging this for tomorrow's call, maybe we can address pretty quickly.
