I would say that the site doesn't seem especially snappy to me. When I go to gcdi.commons.gc.cuny.edu, I have a 5-6 second delay on page load. is it loading more quickly for you?

While logged in as a super admin and clicking around on gcdi.commons pages, both front-end and back-end, page load times are around 4s. This is not particularly fast, but it doesn't feel overly sluggish. Server load appears normal. CCing Ray in case he sees anything.

The longer load times on GCDI could be explained by the amount of heavy plugins in use. I compared this to another Commons site with barely any activated plugins and it loaded relatively fast.

I would try and audit the GCDI plugin list and see whether anything could be worth deactivating. For example, FeedWordPress doesn't look like it is being used on the site as PressForward appears to be used instead. Perhaps we can deactivate FeedWordPress?
